Be the light that others run to
My cousin said this in our weekly Zoom chat.
She was referring to a friend who was that for her.
When we’re in the midst of darkness, we need direction. We need a light to run to, don’t we?
Light of the soul, of the spirit.
Are we opening ourselves up, or shutting people out? With so much out there telling us about division, I’m not buying into it. We are people.
We’ve all been through a lot these last 20 months: way more than any politician frankly, and I ask: what would they really know? Nothing has changed for them apart from working from home. And that’s not left or right: it’s all of them.
The magnificent workers, business owners, leaders, customer facing people – we’re the ones who have done the hard yards and the people you’ve worked alongside, served and been served by in whatever capacity, we’re the same as we were in essence a month ago.
We need to reconnect to the highest version of ourselves, to the light of our spirits and be kinder, more inclusive and hold each other or even lift each other up.
Division is the illusion. It’s a spell.
Support each other.
